Standing tall and being proud
We are a collaborative company with a huge desire to become an employer of choice by the end of this year. It is often said that a successful company is successfully built from the foundations of great people and in our company, how right that statement is! We have completed our staff survey and the results will be discussed at our annual meeting in June this year. At that same meeting we will be launching our values of Passion, Sensation, Education and Innovation. I wanted to personally communicate these values and what they mean to me, so there is a new video clip available on our new website for anyone to view.
Health and well-being is really important and the recent announcement that OFSTED reports will include comment on the school catering provision is in my view very welcomed. Pabulum+ has been primarily created to meet both the guidelines of The School Food Plan and the criteria for Healthy Schools; it goes beyond that as it is a toolbox of activities we can provide for you. Again our new website has a page on this – have a look.
Talking of the website, we have revised it to make it easy to navigate and to truly take us into the digital age. It is compatible for smart phones and tablets, it signposts you to other useful websites and describes our new App for schools. In the summer, we will be launching a LinkedIn page as well as a Facebook page. You can check out the menu for a particular school, as well as allergen information, plus look at our own branded high street coffee shop solution for 6th Forms and colleges.
Aside from our new business wins in January and April this year, we have also been awarded Food For Life Gold accreditation by using only fresh and seasonal food, no frozen meats, with 94% of our food made from scratch. This is a wonderful achievement and proves that it can done without compromising our uniqueness – fresh food. This goes to the heart of what Pabulum is about – our vision:
