Ascot schools award contract to Pabulum
We’re delighted to say that, from September, we’ll be serving delicious and nutritious school meals to pupils at five leading primary schools in Berkshire.
The five schools - St Michael’s Church of England Primary School; Holy Trinity Church of England Primary School; St Francis Catholic Primary School; Cheapside Church of England Primary School and South Ascot Village School – had, until recently, been part of a much larger county-wide group contract but they decided to joined together and put their three-year catering contract out to tender to secure a more flexible and personal approach.
We’re planning to reinforce our healthy eating message with the help of our Healthy Bunch characters - a lovable group of farmyard friends each with their own special nutritional message. This will form a key element to encourage healthier eating habits at the five schools and will be complemented by theme days and playground taster sessions.
Adds Val Woods, Headteacher at St Michael’s Church of England Primary School:
“We were extremely impressed by Pabulum’s approach to food, and combined with their tailored and ethical focus; we look forward to working with them in September.”
