We’re delighted to have been awarded a five-year contract with Brighton-based Varndean College – after first successfully completing a cook-off in front of the students there.
As part of the tendering process for the popular sixth form college (which has over 1,300 students aged 16 to 18) we, along with three other shortlisted companies, set up food stalls in the dining room of Varndean College in order for students to sample our hot and cold menus – with their feedback forming a key part of the overall decision making process.
Pabulum’s ongoing commitment to fairtrade and sustainability was a key factor supporting the College’s final decision and, we’re really looking forward to unveiling a brand new coffee shop (serving a wide range of affordable Fairtrade coffees) in the Autumn term.
“We are absolutely delighted to have won the catering contract with Varndean College. It is particularly pleasing given that we did so after having first been evaluated by the very people who we will be serving for the next few years.”
Jonathan Gawthrop, Managing Director of Pabulum
