Our Catering Team at Tower Hamlets’ Council offices, has won ‘Gold’ in the Borough’s ‘Food for Health’ award scheme – an award that recognises and rewards food businesses that demonstrate a healthy options offer on their menu and are also broadly compliant with food hygiene standards.
After scoring well in a healthy food options audit, the Pabulum team was awarded the highest standard, ‘Gold’. The three award levels - Gold, Silver and Bronze – show customers that they will be able to make a healthier choice when buying from any Food for Health-accredited business.
Mike Smith, Pabulum’s General Manager at Tower Hamlets, and Phil Ellis, Chef Manager, were delighted to be presented with the award by Altan Ahmet, Principle Environmental Health Officer from the Food for Health Award Team on 26th July.
At Pabulum, we believe that food not only has to be delicious, it has to be healthy too and it’s fantastic that this award recognises just that!

“Tower Hamlets is one of nine government designated ‘Healthy Towns’ nationally to receive new funding until March 2011. The Tower Hamlets Healthy Borough Programme is running a number of projects to make it easier for people to become more active and eat more healthily in the borough. The food for health awards is one of the projects.”
