Did you know, the Barranquilla carnival takes place in Colombia every January and is known as the most colourful of its kind in the world? So much so in fact that it has been declared a World Heritage Event for its importance to Humanity! Many costumes are made in the bright, happy colours of the Barranquilla flag – red, green and yellow. But it’s not just people who dress up at this special event, the Fachadas del Carnaval is a competition run by organisers for the best dressed house. For amazing pictures of this and some of the incredible performers visit the official website at carnivalbarranquilla.com
South America is the next stop on our ‘Munch your way around the world’ campaign and to celebrate carnival style, we’re giving away 500 limited edition Pabulummm pedometers in our FREE January prize draw – open to customers at various sites. Pedometers will be sent to the lucky winners in February. Now you can count your steps as you dance!
Watch out for the colourful South American-themed dishes and decorations across our sites this month.
