Sourcing Ingredients

Our reputation rests on us knowing the exact source of all of our food and this played a major part in us achieving various awards as well as accreditation from Red Tractor. To achieve this we’ve had to build strong relationships with our trusted suppliers and all their food and ingredients must meet the Pabulum food sourcing criteria.

Put simply, Pabulum food suppliers have to be: ethical, ecological, committed to the highest standards and this includes animal welfare. It’s vital that each supplier has real respect for the environment, and is dedicated to providing quality produce. All our farms and producers must meet our standards for health and safety and are assessed not only by Jack (our Executive Development Chef) but also by Jason our Head of Food, Health & Safety, Environment along with Nicola our Purchasing Manager.  Our development chefs work very closely with clusters and individual schools to source ingredients locally - be they local suppliers or from the school's very own vegetable/herb garden!
