CLIENTSt George’s
When Pabulum secured the catering and cleaning contract for St George’s – an inner city secondary school where good food was an alien concept to most of the kids – we could have bitten off more than we could chew. But working closely and consistently over a long period of time with the inspirational new head, whose focus was on improving both the quality and range of food on offer, we began to turn things around. Not only have we been able to save the school money, but the introduction of Jamaican chef, Norman, combined with a tantalising new fresh food menu, and school canteen make-over with better signage and new tables and chairs, has meant we’ve had even the toughest kids eating out of our hands. A cleaner, safer eating environment, plus an enhanced service have all helped to begin the transformation of St George’s school.

CLIENTMill Hill school
When Mill Hill school came to us they wanted an independent catering company that could deliver. That meant coming up with creative solutions to keeping costs down and providing financial return to the school, whilst being open, honest and transparent with the financial control of the business. Our experienced business manager worked on site intensively for two weeks providing skilled operational support to the teachers and staff to ensure a smooth opening of the new food facility. Working in partnership with the school, we managed to reduce waiting times, provide a more varied and healthier menu with fresh salad and fruit a regular feature. New vibrant signage, a more motivated and rewarded catering staff, plus a staff room coffee service, and two services in the main hall from the kitchen to reduce queues, ensured everyone from the head down was happy.
