A Right Royal Wedding Event at Hamstel Infant School and Nursery

On Friday 18th May 2018 Hamstel Infant School and Nursery celebrated the forthcoming Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In true Hamstel style this was a Royal event not to be missed!

The order of the day was a non-uniform event (500 princes and princesses, or wearing red, white and blue) with a whole school Royal Street Party in the afternoon. However a wedding would not be a wedding without a Wedding Cake! The challenge was set for Keith Prince, our wonderful Executive Chef, to produce wedding cakes for all classes to decorate. The cake had to be made following the well-researched Royal recipe of Lemon and Elderflower.

Keith ably assisted by the equally wonderful Meriem stepped up to the challenge and produced 16 Royal Wedding cakes! The children had great fun designing the decorations for the cakes. The staff and children made wishes for the happy couple as the cakes were cut and shared at the Street Party to the wonderful sound of the children singing the National Anthem.

A great day, a great event, made all the better by our wonderful Pabulum Team!
